Canopy offers arboriculture services throughout the Muskoka region, and beyond, by certified arborists.

Canopy is owned and operated by ISA certified arborist Sam White

Sam is a father, husband, arborist, artist and outdoor enthusiast. He has been climbing trees (professionally) for 12 years., climbing ice for 19 years and climbing rock for 24 years. With almost 20 years of experience in outdoor education, he has shared his love and appreciation of the natural world with thousands of eager listening hearts and minds. Sam still works part-time in the camping community, training, inspecting and “edutaining” campers and staff. Sam shares his passion for trees and tree work with fellow arborists and tree care professionals, when a helping hand is needed.

Trees purify the air and produce precious oxygen.

Trees increase property value, establish and define outdoor spaces while creating important habitat.

Arboriculture is the practice and study of the care of trees and other woody plants in the landscape.

An arborist is an individual who is trained in the art and science of planting, caring for and maintaining individual trees.

A certified arborist is an individual who has achieved a level of knowledge in the art and science of tree care through experience and by passing a comprehensive examination administered by the I.S.A. (International Society of Arboriculture); who must also continue their education to maintain their certification and who are up-to-date on the techniques and standards in arboriculture.
